Architect Marius Călin: “The current elongation of the city and the growing distances makes the development of multifunctional buildings in Bucharest paramount”

In the latest issue of Real Estate Magazine, Architect Marius Călin talks the importance of a macro-vision when it comes to architectural plans for the city.

The principal at X Architecture & Engineering has signed many important architecture projects in USA, Asia and Europe and is now working on some of the major mixed compounds developed by One United Properties.

With a huge American experience and an artistic eye, Marius believes that for a city such as Bucharest the architecture plans should also focus on multifunctional buildings.

“It’s a message I’ve been saying for quite some years now, that an ever growing city needs multifunctional projects. Therefore we are currently working on several mixed compounds that bring together all the activities: working, living or enjoying free time.”

Marius Călin studied Architecure and Filmology in New York. He established an architecture firm with important projects in USA, Europe and Asia and since 2004 he has been principal at X Architecture & Engineering in Bucharest.
